What is MIPS?

MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System, which is a leading slip-plane technology inside the helmet designed to reduce rotational forces that can result from certain impacts. In laymans terms it can help reduce the jolt in the event of impact which can help in reducing the possibility of more serious injury.

All of the Bell MX-9 range now come with MIPS as standard, which adds to the feature list of an already impressive offering at this price point. Made with the off road rider in mind, the MX-9 is still popular for urban on road use.
